Fine Furnishings International Magazine April 2006

Jody Gruel was recently identified in Fine Furnishings International Magazine for her contributions to community service. As written in the March/April 2006 edition of the magazine, the American Society of Interior Designers awarded the ASID Illinois Chapter the first National Community Service award. This award honors the excellent community work accomplished by the local chapter as well as recognizes outstanding achievement in design. Jody Gruel served on the committee receiving this award, and together with a group of interior designers, devoted approximately 500 hours of pro-bono design work. This group solicited products and services from ASID industry partners, and collaborated with architects. Additionally, they specified products, colors and furnishings for the interior design of the newly constructed and remodeled 10,000 square foot building housing “Southwest Women Working Together,” located in Chicago.
