Collaborate Design Studio, an interior design firm at 829 N. Waukegan Road, Deerfield, has received awards from the American Society of Interior Designers-Illinois Chapter for the second year in a row. Collaborate won third place in the Design Excellence Awards for the Residential Over 3,000 Square Feet category for a Glenview townhouse, designed by Linda Eisenberg and Cheryl Kling. In addition, Collaborate Design was presented with a third place in the Design Excellence Awards for the Singular Residential Space category for Linda Eisenberg's design for a living room space in Northbrook. In 2004, Collaborate Design was awarded a first place in the Design Excellence Awards for the Singular Residential Space category for a family room in Highland Park, designed by Cheryl Kling. Collaborate celebrating its third year in January, was formed by local women working together to put their many years of design expertise to use. The name of the firm was selected to signify that the designers collaborate with each other on projects. They also utilize a team approach with the client, their architect, builder, contractor others involved in each project. Collaborate Design Studio has since expanded to include five designers with experience in residential, corporate and commercial interior design, as well as a full compliment of support staff to assist clients. The firm offers a complete design service, which includes space planning, lighting design, kitchen and bath design, custom furniture and cabinetry, fabric selection, window treatments, floor and wall coverings and accessories.
